One day, a great fire broke out in the savannah.
Flames spread rapidly, destroying everything in their path. All the animals, overwhelmed by panic, fled to save themselves. All but one: a small hummingbird.
The hummingbird flew to a stream, picked up a tiny drop of water in its beak, and dropped it onto the flames. Then it flew back to the stream. And again, it returned to the fire.
Drop by drop.
The other animals looked on and said:
"What do you think you're doing?
You'll never put out the fire with such little
water!"
And the hummingbird replied:
"I'm doing my part."
At that moment, something changed. Moved by its words, the animals stopped running. One by one, they returned.
The elephant used its trunk to carry water. The
lion, the giraffe, the zebra—each found a way to help.
Together, with determination and solidarity, they fought the fire.
And, step by step, they managed to put it out.
